Only 50 per cent of the high-rise façade is made from glass, saving heating and cooling energy, cutting operating costs and reducing CO2 emissions. However, floor-length windows keep interiors well lit and create a pleasant atmosphere. And tenants of Tower 185 do not have to go without a striking glass façade: the halves of the high-rise are joined by a glass rotunda. This faces north, so there is no direct exposure to sunlight. Green power is used in the building’s public areas.
